I listen to the illegal debate and immigration issues. Why don't we do this?:
Anyone who wants to enter the USA can come in, but if you have no US papers/passport, you go to "US college" that teaches you for 6 weeks.
You learn English and the US ways. Your kids learn everything that is American. You must pass a test on how to find a job, balance a checkbook, and speak English.
If you pass, you enter the USA. If you enter the USA, the taxes you pay while working for the next 5 years are 100% allocated to the "US College" that you spent the first 6 weeks of your US life at...
If you fail the tests, go back to your country.

Hey, Carlos, my question is about "Drawn Together" (it's a series I really love, and not just because you voiced a character on it). Why am I asking you about this? Because, like you said, someone has gotta talk about it. Besides, I'm sick and tired of all the insults and bashing around here.
Anyway, my question is... why does Comedy Central think delaying the rest of Drawn Together's third season until October is a good idea? The next new episode that's supposed to air is supposed to be the second part of the cliffhanger, but they're making us wait to see it, even longer than we had to wait to find out what happened to the housemates after they crash landed in the helicopter at the end of season 1. That lasted Dec 04 - Oct 05 (ten months). They want this to last Nov 06 - Oct 07 (ELEVEN months - wtf?).
And not only that, they won't give us a new Drawn Together DVD until then. They want to make us wait until October 2007 to see it. It should have been on store shelves by now. Again, we're being forced to wait for no reason whatsoever. And not only that, Comedy Central is releasing a new Chappelle's Show DVD set --- consisting of episodes THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN ON DVD. I don't get this. None of the season 2 episodes of Drawn Together have been on DVD yet, and they're planning on making a DVD set consisting of episodes of another series that have already been on DVD before?
I've gotta say it - DEE-DEE-DEE!

Plus do you have absolutely nothing to do with your day that bashing Carlos Mencia is the only thing on your plate. Get a life! CARLOS! Was up man? Okay, so I was walking down the street the other day, and I was singing 'quiero tanto' and some little mexican kid comes up to me and just stares at me, I was like, WTF? And he was like, 0.o?. I kicked the kid and he yelled, '¡usted no es buen cantante! ¡En hecho, usted aspira!' And I just looked at him as he ran off yelling, ¡puta!.....ya see, I just knew the song, I didn't know what it meant. And I had no clue what the kid just said to me, later on I went home thinking about it and I went up to my mom, who, btw, is a BEANER, and said, '¿qué la puta significa?' She slapped me across the face and stabbed me with a knife and....okay okay I am just kidding, she yelled at me though! She then explained what it meant, I was a little supprised to find out that it meant whore, then ya know I realize what this generation of beaners is comming to be. They are turning into.....americans.....everybody run for your life!

First off... Props to you. I love the show... I love the way you make fun of all the stupid things we do as people. That brings me to my point. I watched a episode the other night and you were making fun of white people for not knowing the limits with animals. You made fun of Steve Irwin. You said that "manta rays" are dangerous and sting people and that he was dumb for touching it... Do you realize that tiny "sting rays" are the dangerous one and the giant manta rays are essential over sized under water wings that drivers can hang on to and glide with them, much the same way you would swim with a dolphin?
Looking forward to being called a uber geek, or whatever you have up your sleeve...

why do comedians now mainly focus on topics, like the war, racism, gay jokes,immigration, and also on making fun of bush. All of these jokes are old by now. Why does noone make up some new material. Why don't you try to focus on something outside the box. It'd probally make everyone more interested.

hey ive been following your comedy for about two years now, ive seen most of your stand up and i havent missed your show yet, my friends and i love the shit that you do on your show because it deals with real life and things that the people go through and you show us how to laugh and that the type of comedy i like the most.
my question though is this. have you tried to actually tape a segment with the real George W. Bush? that is something i wanna see. you and him talking about the different things going on in this country. my friends and i believe that would make a hell of a segment

Carlo's I don't think Alex Schwartzenberger, gets it. The Mexicans who have parents that mow is lawn most likely mow 50 or 60 lawns each week. They work there asses off so that there kids can have the nice stuff like everyone else. Just like Alex's mom and dad work there ass off for the shit he gets. Here is the problem the kids today don't seem to realize when they get older and have kids they will have to work there asses off to give them the shit they want to shut them up.

Carlos, I was interested in your comments on the whole Imus thing and free speech. While I agree with you, I think complaints of free speech and the fact that words only hurt as much as you let them, should be directed more at the public in general, not MSNBC and CBS radio. MSNBC and CBS are, let's face it, businesses, and as such, the mighty dollar is the bottom line. If they think sponsors are going to bail because THEY fear boycotts of their products because the public freaks out enough about controversial comments, the two media outlets ARE going to fire him. At the end of the day, the public does get what they want and it's the public who should be told to grow some cahunas when it comes to things others say. If its a joke, take it for what it is- if it's someone being a serious racist, pity them for their ignorance.

OK... well I have a question... but let me set the question up first...
I am a fan of many comedians... carlos mencia being one of the top 10, I enojy comedy so much so, that if I enjoy a particular comedian I will purchase their material in several formats. The reason being is that I (like many people) enjoy the big release of an incredibly well delivered joke (which Carlos does extremely well)AND life is too fucking crazy not to sit back and laugh as often as one can. I know there has been a great deal of discussion over "who took who's joke"... Truthfully, I dont give a shit, I just want to laugh.
So my question is this:
Which matters more to a true comedian: the source of a joke; the recognition for a joke; or the fact that people still laugh at the joke, regardless of who tells it?
