There's a new Mencia minute up and I wanted to feature it because it's Mencia's opinion about George Carlin. Since I blogged about my feelings about Carlin earlier in the week, I figured it was just to have Mencia do it as well.
There are so many comedians that have written and talked about Carlin, which just goes to prove what an impact he made in the world of comedy. So here it is, Mencia talking about Carlin:

Just lost my dear beautiful mom the same day as George Carlin. Saw Carlos & had the awesome opportunity to meet him and he wished me well and promised to make me laugh through my sorrow. After the show he asked if i laughed, how great of him to remember me. I adored George ,but Carlos for me is the best. Thanks! You're the best!

Excellent tribute to Carlin, Carlos.
We just got back from your show at the Lake of the Torches Casino.
Awesome and real (as usual). Loved Brad, too. Got to wave adios to him Sunday morning.
Carlos, we never dreamed that we would be fortunate enough to see you perform live...and from the second row, no less.
Great show, bro! Three hours with no intermission? Like, who's doing that these days?
Keep on keepin' it real.
We were imagining you doing your McD's material to kids in the LA area who need to hear that message....as a sort of "public service" kind of thing.
Hope to see you in Wisconsin again, Carlos.
Word.

YOU ARE THE MOST FAKE PERSON! HOW CAN YOU TRIBUTE A TRUE COMEDIAN WHEN YOU ARE AN ACTOR PRETENDING TO BE A COMEDIAN. It's a matter of time until you are done. Finally Stella can return. Be yourself, man.

Damn, I guess that dude CHRIS MAC has some growing up to do. When a person, any person pays tribute to another it comes from the heart. Carlos is just another person giving DUES where DUES are needed. And Carlin should be praised by all who believes in the right to free speech. Now, you DEE DEE DEE, take off your bib and grow up.

I agree with everything he said. There would be no modern comedy without George Carlin and I still remember falling flat on my face when I found out he died. Three cheers for the great philosopher...

I just saw the show tonight (july 2) and I would really like to say thanks to you Carlos. After george carlin passed all I heard was people talking about the seven dirty words you couldn't say on tv and it kinda pissed me off because the man was so much more than that, there was fifty years of comdey to him and one bit is all people remember or talked about. So thank you Carlos Mencia for once agian speaking my mind before I can. You saw him for more than most people did as did the people he really inspired and it really brought a tear to my eye because someone finally said it right. so in the end all i can say is once again thank you carlos for keeping this world real and thank you George Carlin for the countless year of entertainment and enjoyment you have brought the world over and may you finally now rest in peace
GOOD BYE GEORGE

You bunch of idiots,it's all right for a person to be sad when someone dies. But when this comedian poser says it is just plain insulting.
"Hope your in heaven" yeah I think Carlin will be laughing at that stupid remark.

He said he never used the "seven words", though, he used them all the time, major fuck up Mencia.
