So I'm not sure if you've heard but there's a presidential election going on. I was reading that one of the candidates (I think his name is Obama or something to that effect) visited Berlin and delivered a speech to an estimated crowd of over 200,000 people.

This is huge! What a big crowd. I can't imagine it being a bigger deal than what it is. I read an article where they compare his remarks to that of President Kennedy. At the same time this was happening, McCain was putting glitter on new posters he was taping around Washington D.C.

Dude, this is so crazy. I'd be pissed if I were McCain. "What the hell do I have to do to get noticed around here? UM, HELLO!?!??! PRISONER OF WAR HERE!?! REMEMBER ME?

It reminds me of two kids having a birthday party. Like McCain has a pinata thinking that is the highlight of the party..then Obama comes in and decides to have a party on the same day as McCain's....and OBAMA's PARENTS RENTED OUT THE FREAKIN' CHUCKY CHEESE!

Dude, if I were McCain, I'd be going on every show and promising people pony rides or something because honestly, I think this might be the year where we see REAL change...and by that I mean, ending the reign on the white man and opening to door to "The Obamination"!

This story made me think: why do people care so much about the potential First Lady? Seems that Obama is very "infuriated" about the way that certain media outlets have spoken about Mrs. Obama.

I don't get why the First Lady is such a big deal. Do people think that she can just tell the President who to attack and he'll do it? Like they'll both be lying in bed at the White House and she whispers in his ear, "I hate China..can you get rid of them? Mexico's been getting on my nerves...bomb them for me please? It can be my birthday gift."

There are so many businessmen out there that head their own multi-BILLION dollar companies and there wives are of no concern. It's not about the wife, it's about the person running for office. So what if you don't like the wife? Big deal. Do you like where the candidate stands on foreign policy? the economy? In the end, I think that the wives only matter when it comes to their actual marriage. Is he happy with his wife? Do they get along with each other well?

I personally like Michelle Obama. I like the fist-bumps with her husband. I think it humanizes them and makes them seem like a "real" couple and a "real" couple is what we "really" need to "really" get us back to "reality". Or at least back to lower gas prices. Whatever comes first.

Mencia Weekly Poll: Who do YOU think will make the better president?

I was reading that Obama is planning on accepting his Democratic nomination at the stadium where the Broncos play which makes certain people think that it's a good sign that he likes to break typical political protocol (ooh, alliteration anyone?) John McCain will likely accept his at the stodgy convention that is known as the Republican convention (I'm being unbiased, I know).

Here's my question though: with both candidates now really zeroing in on their platforms and traveling to campaign (and most importantly, Clinton being out of the picture), WHO DO YOU THINK WILL BE A BETTER PRESIDENT?

John McCain has an impressive military record (my God, he was a POW) yet Obama seems to be the man that epitomizes change. I'm curious to know: does the idea of change weigh more than McCain's military service and experience? Let me know...

Warning: We May Have a Black President!

I was watching the democratic debates on MSNBC, and my friend turned to me and said, "Obama is a great candidate. Too bad he's not going to win. He's black. There will never be a black President." I was like, that's freaking retarded. What does the fact that he's black have anything to do with it? He couldn't do any worse than George Bush, and he's white. Either way, the fact is there's a good chance that come next November we could be swearing in the first black President of the United States, and for some reason that terrifies a lot of people. What are they so afraid of? Could it be this...

159519308s The all new season of Mind of Mencia kicks off Sunday night @ 10pm - and to get things kicked off we're previewing a clip from the first show.

The Presidential race for 2008 has begun and its quite possible for the first time ever in American history, we could have a black President. 153669342sPersonally, I have no problem voting or a black president and judging by a recent poll, 92% of the population agrees with me. What I don't understand is this other 6%? Why won't they vote for a black President? What are this backward hillbillies so afraid of?
