I was reading the New York Times (because I'm so cultured) and found this video that makes me smile. It stars a 31-year-old man named Matt Harding who has become a HUGE internet sensation with his video. He doesn't sing a Chocolate Rain-type song, he doesn't get hit in the balls, he doesn't have another guy and one cup...nothing like that. He has a video that runs about 4 1/2 minutes and showcases him dancing.

And it's not like the "evolution of dance" video that has over 9 million hits (though this video I'm talking about already has over 4 million hits in less than a month). This one makes me smile because it features not only Matt dancing by himself; it has him dancing by himself in different countries and as the video progresses, he starts having people join him. He travels to 42 countries and gathers people that start dancing with him and having a great time.

It's so refreshing to see a video that makes me feel good like that. I usually sit here at my computer and read the news and let's face it, there's never a "good news that will make you feel good" section. Everything I read is about war, death, pain; it's nice to see something that just makes you smile. I recommend this video highly...I'm putting it up here so that you can check it out. It might just make your day.

I was going through my MySpace page, checking out the messages from people that bought me as pets and so forth (only myspace people get that reference) when I saw this video featured on the website from NBC's America's Got Talent.

I have yet to see this show except for two clips...one being the amazing opera singer and this one whose talent is very...um unique. I think I kinda gave it away in the title of the blog but I figured what the hell? It might want to make you watch it even more.

Sadly enough, this video did make me wonder what talent I would do if I wanted to be on this show. Even sadder, I came up with nothing. Not one unique talent. It's sad. I can play the harmonica...kinda (ok, I can play the Rocky theme song and Piano Man). I can sing (but then again, who can't?).

I guess I can eat. THAT'S MY TALENT. Eating...in fact I do it so well that I had to join a boot camp in order to lose the weight that I've gained from my amazing eating skills. America's Got Talent bums me out...but then again, it also makes me want to get a hobby and become REALLY good at it.

Ok...so I'm a big tomboy. I love video games. There was a break there that I stopped playing them but I had to face the facts that while I have the body of a 29 year-old woman, I have the mind of a 15 year-old boy. Coming back to video games was great. They were very welcoming. I have a PS2 (I know, I need to upgrade) a Wii (that Mencia gave me as a present last tour) and my Nintendo DS.

But before I get to my L O V E of video games now, we must travel back into my childhood. My first system ever was the Atari 7800. You know, the one that came with Pole Position II included. Oh man, I used to love that system. They had this game called Astroblast (<--check this video, it's hilarious) that I played a lot (when I wasn't too busy Pole Positioning). I also had an E.T. game that I think was recently named one of the "worst video games of all time".

I moved on to Nintendo (Super Mario nut here! and Metal Gear), then Sega (Sonic the Hedgehog anyone?) and pretty much stopped after that....for about a decade. Now I find myself back into video games and I have to say: I HATE MYSELF FOR HAVING WASTED SO MUCH TIME AWAY FROM THEM!

I just bought the latest installment Guitar Hero for my red Nintendo DS. It's called Guitar Hero On Tour but I think it should be called Awesome Guitar Hero Gets Even More Awesomer. I am in video game heaven. Just the fact that technology has gotten to this point where I can play Guitar Hero on my DS is amazing.

The game comes with a grip handle that has the four keys you will be using, along with a stylus guitar pick. You may say, "A stylus guitar pick? Surely that HAS TO BE the BEST feature of the game?" Um no, it isn't. What I LOVE about this game is that (and the following is for Guitar Hero aficionados) unlike other Guitar Hero games, when you have the Star Power ready, you can set it off by voice activation. Once you've gotten the juice you need, you yell "ROCK OUT" and the Nintendo DS mic picks it up and you start shredding.

In my opinion, this alone is effin' awesome. Dude, you guys have to get this game. Oh and by the way, you always know when I'm excited because I start calling people "dude". Guitar Hero on Tour...what took you so long to get into my life?!

Mencia has a say with everything on the show...that is why it's called "Mind of Him". Each season brings a music video. I have included three of them to refresh your memory on two and spotlight the most recent one.

It's the same writer helping Mencia pound out these songs and his name is Brian Rubenstein. Just when you were starting to think, "What kind of video could POSSIBLY be next to cover?", "Ruby" as he is nicknamed on the show, and Mencia come up with something new.

The most recent addition is "I Can't Go On..." about an emo kid that thinks his life sucks even though he has everything that he could possibly want to make him happy. It premiered last night along with the Act 3 about gay weddings that starred Cheech Marin.

The other ones I focused on are two popular songs that people ask about often. One is "Bow Down" which pretty much parodies a number of popular rappers (including the typical hot chicks in videos which are played by Joseph) and the other one is the infamous "Dee Dee Dee Song".

I remember during the Punisher Tour in 2006, they played the DDD song at the beginning of each show and the audience would go nuts. I figured this would be a fun time to feature it because again.

Just thought you might like to know that there is a man that helps the mind of Mencia crank out those songs. They call him "Ruby" and he is also credited with having co-written the story to "In The Mix", a movie that starred Usher.

There have been messages about this particular sketch that was in a recent episode of Mind of Mencia. It was played as a "cold open". A cold open is the quick sketch that is played at the beginning of the show that leads into the theme song. Think of Saturday Night Live. It's the sketch at the beginning that starts the show. You know, the one that ends with someone yelling, "Live from New York, it's Saturday night!" Well, it seems that a lot of people are liking this cold open, so I figured I'd feature it here. Enjoy!
