James Dobson...who is he really? He is the chairman of Focus on the Family, which to me sounds like it's not an organization for someone like me who likes Satan. Kidding. It's an organization for someone that is NOT a hipster which I consider myself to be (Shins anyone?)
So "Awesome Dobson" (as he makes his friends call him) has accused Barack Obama (you're living under a rock or in another country if you don't know who he is) of distorting the Bible.
I wanted to investigate this and found that Dobson was right...Barack Obama is INDEED distorting the Bible. I found Obama's Bible (don't ask me how) and wanted to reveal the details that I, as a Catholic, didn't recognize.
The following are the discrepancies:
1. TILA TEQUILA WAS AT THE LAST SUPPER. This has proven to be false. I had to prove this by going to every one of my Latino relatives' homes to see each of their Last Supper velvet painting (we all have one, that and a picture of St. Jude) and found no one that looked similar to Tila.
2. NOAH'S GOLDEN ARC-HES. Also false. In the Obama Bible, he has that Noah didn't build the arc but rather the first "golden arches" as in McDonalds. And furthermore, he didn't bring one of each animal into this McDonalds in order to perfect the Big Mac. You're wrong again Obama.
3. THE TEN COMMANDOS. Reading his Bible, I found that he had a section about the story of Moses coming down from the mountain and bringing The Ten Commandos, as in a non-existent film series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a special forces soldier who once led an elite unit and has left the armed forces to live in a secluded mountain home with his daughter, whom is later kidnapped. Needless to say, false as well.
And this is just the beginning....THANK YOU JAMES DOBSON FOR BRINGING THIS INACCURATE BIBLE TO LIGHT. I'm glad that your conservative group has made this country aware of this man's plan to distort the Bible and thrust upon evil. I won't even get started with his "ADAM AND STEVE" segment...that would just kill you.
Ok, the sarcasm is far too heavy in this blog. I guess it's easy to see that I'm anti-Dobson. I think it's because I disagree with Dobson saying that Obama is "deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to justify his own world view." Isn't that what everyone does? The Bible is up to different interpretations, not just one. Be glad you were mentioned in Obama's speech Dobson, I'm sure the google searches on your name went up afterwards. I mean, everyone needs to settle down. What's next? PETA attacking Maya Angelou for book I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (get it, the bird is caged)?
