I just saw the new Batman movie. I'm a total Batman geek. When I saw that the DA named Harvey Dent, I knew what to look forward to. Anyhoo. I was happy with the movie. I thought it did a great job with the darkness that you come across in the Batman novels.

But after reading that the Batman movie set new records at the box office for opening weekend, I was wondering: Did everyone like the movie? YAY or NAY?!?!

I'm part of the majority when I say that I thought Heath Ledger was AMAZING as the Joker..but am I REALLY in the majority or the minority...LET ME KNOW!

I have a lot of gay friends. I love them. It's weird though because to me, they're "gay" but I never really think of them like that. It's like my heterosexual friends...I don't usually refer to them as my "hetero" friends, so why would I do that with my gay friends? They are my friends first and foremost.

I have been a big supporter of gay marriage right from the get go. I think that it's important for EVERYONE to be allowed to marry just for the fact that I think it's absolutely RIDICULOUS that not everyone can. Who's the monitor that? Of course though, with someone like me who is absolutely PRO it, you'll also have people that are AGAINST it. So I want to know: which person are you?

I was reading that Obama is planning on accepting his Democratic nomination at the stadium where the Broncos play which makes certain people think that it's a good sign that he likes to break typical political protocol (ooh, alliteration anyone?) John McCain will likely accept his at the stodgy convention that is known as the Republican convention (I'm being unbiased, I know).

Here's my question though: with both candidates now really zeroing in on their platforms and traveling to campaign (and most importantly, Clinton being out of the picture), WHO DO YOU THINK WILL BE A BETTER PRESIDENT?

John McCain has an impressive military record (my God, he was a POW) yet Obama seems to be the man that epitomizes change. I'm curious to know: does the idea of change weigh more than McCain's military service and experience? Let me know...

I figured this was a good question to ask. I don't know. Ever since Al Gore (rumor has it he was Vice President of something once) came out with An Inconvenient Truth, I think we've kicked up our eco-friendly tactics up a notch. I know I personally have. At least, I think I have. But then again, I might've forced myself to think like that because it's the cool thing to do.

Maybe I should be doing more. But then again, maybe I'm doing ok. How about you guys? Are you guys out there doing everything you can? You happy with the effort you're putting in. I want you to answer honestly...since the votes are anonymous.

It's that time of the week, I would love to hear your opinions on things that matter. This week is actually very close to me because it involves the "Super Fence". In most recent news, the Supreme Court turned down pleas to speed up the construction of the fence that will seperate the US/Mexico border. Personally, I'm against it because I'm first generation Mexican-American. My mother and father were from Mexico and came here seeking the American Dream, just like any other immigrant. But then again, I'm soooo biased, so tell me what you think? SUPER FENCE...yes or no?

With the economy struggling, airlines like American and US Airways are beginning to charge passengers for the bags that they check in. This is really crappy. Not only are the airfares going up, but we have to pay for bags now? This is crazy! How on earth are you supposed to travel? Some people have to travel for work (AKA-me!) How am I supposed to get from point A to point B cheap? BOO AIRLINES! Or am I just overreacting?

Let me know: Have I lost my rocker?

Now with the Clinton out of the race, everyone is asking: Is she going to be running as VP for the US? Ok, so really the only ones asking that question are the people that vote. But I thought this was a great question to ask because my boyfriend, Steve, and I talk about it all the time. I just wonder if the US is ready for a black President? I'd love to think so, considering that I'm a Mexican and I love backing up my ethnic people. I guess part of my cynical side is coming out when I say that maybe this country will vote for the old white guy because he fits the mold. Regardless (<---shout out to the late and amazing Freddy Soto) of everything I'm saying, here's the question: Is the "Dream Team" of Clinton and Obama a good idea?

It's time for the weekly Mencia poll and this one is crazy. It comes from an article that announces plans for Madame Tussauds wax museum to make a wax statue of Adolf Hitler in their Berlin branch of their museum.

W H A T ? ! The article reads, "Our surveys show people want to see him because he belongs to Germany's past," said spokesman Natalie Ruoss. Um, who are they asking? Former Nazis? Anyway, I figured I would ask to see if I was the only one that thought this was a bad idea. Times have changed, maybe I'm missing some important piece of info that makes this a GOOD idea!
